Srey Voeung, Year 7 student at XJS is awarded the First Prize in International Section of the JQA International Environmental Children’s Drawing Contest.

Four students from XJS entered the contest back in May as the school’s first attempt at an international competition, under the guidance of Jonathan Yim, art teacher at XJS.

JQA Contest has been running since 1999 in co-operation with UNICEF to give children an opportunity think about the global environment by expressing their inspirations from nature’s bounty. This year, the contest received over 14,000 entries from 98 countries.

We congratulate all the students who entered the contest and especially Srey Voeung, and hope this will encourage all students to continuously explore the new and the unknown.
