In preparation for the new academic year, XJS teachers organized a two-day Curriculum Workshop for JSC supported schools from the1st to the 2nd October 2018. 29 participants including 4 JSC staff, 6 primary school principals, 8 kindergarten teachers and 11 primary school teachers attended the Workshop.

10 teachers from our school formed 2 groups to hold 2 streams of workshops; one for the kindergarten and one for primary school teachers.

The overall development of curriculum and scheme of work was based on Ignatian Pedagogy Paradigm, and the Workshop started with discussing our school’s vision and mission. Then with this foundation, the workshop covered reflections, principles in developing student focused lesson plans, and drafting of sample lesson plans.

It was a very lively workshop with the lead teachers demonstrating lessons followed by participants developing their lesson plans to run a trial class. It is hoped that the Workshop has contributed in improving the quality of education for our partner schools.
