From the 3rd to the 14th of September 2018, 37 high school teachers participated in this year’s curriculum workshop held at Xavier Jesuit School. Among the 37 teachers, 14 were new to this year’s workshop.

All the participants were very enthusiastic, energetic, and engaged during the workshop. Throughout the two weeks, the teachers had the opportunity to reflect on their teaching vocation as well as sharing their teaching experiences with one another.

The aim of the workshop was to prepare the curriculum for the new academic school year by adopting the Ignatian Pedagogy Paradigm (IPP) into their lesson plans.

For the last three years, the IPP has been a major part of Professional Development at Xavier Jesuit School and it is slowly taking shape in the classroom. Our teachers are starting to see the importance of the IPP and how it is a useful pedagogy that allows for a holistic approach in teaching and learning.
