On the 26th of April to 02nd of May 2019, 11 of Xavier Jesuit School staff members attended a workshop on “APOSTOLIC PLANNING AND DECISION MAKING THROUGH COMMUNAL DISCERNMENT” at the Seven Fountains Retreat Centre in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The workshop was conducted by JCAP’s commission on education and was led by Fr. Johnny Go, SJ.

It focuses on discernment in common, which is one of the identified Universal Apostolic Priorities of the Society of Jesus. Its major emphasis was on listening to others as well as listening to one’s interior movement. There were around 30 participants from the various Jesuit schools across South East Asia and the Pacific which included representatives from Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, the Philippines and Cambodia. The workshop also allows teachers and staffs of Jesuit schools to listen, to share, and to learn from each other’s experiences in education.
