On the 2nd of November 2015, sixty-five children started their kindergarten classes in the new Xavier Jesuit School Community Learning Centre at Phnom Bak village. Already on the 5th of October 2015, fifty-two children started their kindergarten classes at our small school in Dey Lo village. At Dey Lo,the children can benefit from new bathrooms and kitchen funded by the Korean NGO, Joy of Sharing. While some of the new kids are still crying as they miss their mothers, most of them have settled down to the new rhythm of school life. Our nine kindergarten teachers have their hands full with teaching in the morning and professional development sessions in the afternoon. Ms. Lucia Wong, our Teacher Trainer, has prepared special formation modules to help our young teachers understand the children’s development more deeply. Xavier Jesuit School has its first long-term students!
