XJS–High School Department celebrated the Sportsfest 2023 during the weekends of July, bringing together hundreds of students to compete in recreational sports and other activities. The Sportsfest 2023 involved several student teams who competed in various events such as football, volleyball, obstacle race, and flea market over three weekends vying to bag the champion title for each event.
Organized by the High School Department, Sportsfest aims to promote the core values of a Jesuit school: competence, compassion, conscience and commitment through physical and mental activities. The whole event culminated on 31st July in celebration of the Feast of St. Ignatius. The feast was welcomed with a friendly football match between students and the XJS teachers and staff, a 9-event obstacle race, and the much awaited awarding ceremony.
After the awarding ceremony, the grades 8 and 9 students celebrated their academic achievements by being granted points to purchase various items at the 4C Free Market. The students brought home new school materials, clothes, bags, and books sold at the 4C Free Market.
XJS extends its appreciation to the teachers and staff who played at the friendly football match…
To Mr. So Sovuthy, Mr. Mak Sameat, Mr. Chin Phereak, Mr. Hea Lin, Mr. Kim Seyha, and Mr. Chiva who monitored the football, volleyball, and obstacle races…
