On Friday the 25th of August 2017 at 9.30 a.m., Dr. Yuki Sato and Sr. Keiko Hara led a group of 13 students and two faculty members from Sophia University on a visit to the Xavier Jesuit School Project.  These students had already stayed at the Metta-Karuna Reflection Centre in Siem Reap.  After an initial tour of the campus, the students and faculty members gathered for a conference with Fr. Ashley on the theme of a “Person for Others”, the formation goal of Ignatian and Jesuit education.   After this conference, the students asked deep and searching questions on this formation theme, indicating their capacity for real reflection on the life choices that they will soon face after completion of their university studies.  At 11.30 a.m., lunch was served which the students shared with the school team and the Presentation Sisters.  The students then had time for personal and group reflection before engaging in a cultural exchange program with our kindergarten and primary school teachers prepared by Ms. Lucia Wong.   At 15.30, as the Sophia group departed, plans were already afoot to expand and develop this formation program next year.
