On Friday 21st February 2020, two police officers came to Xavier Jesuit School to give a talk to all our high school students on the importance of Road Safety as well as the impact of drug use at XJS.

Road safety has become a major concern for the Government in Cambodia this year because the National Police reported 4,121 traffic accidents occurred throughout 2019 and 1,981 lives were taken with 3,919 seriously injured and 2,222 suffered minor injuries. (For more details please click on the link: https://opendevelopmentcambodia.net/news/accidents-claimed-1981-lives-last-year/)

Included in these figures are a few of Xavier Jesuit School students, family members and staff. Hence, it was important that all XJS students were updated on road safety as well as the impact of using drugs so that they are well informed on these two serious issues which are impacting their day to day routine to and from school.
