Even though the new Jesuit school will be self-sufficient after twelve years, being able to survive financially on voluntary local contributions, the Jesuit Mission will establish a scholarship fund so that the school can welcome up 20% of students from destitute families with no financial resources at all. Over the next twelve years, it is planned to build up this fund slowly to the target of $1.2 million dollars. This will ensure that destitute students will be guaranteed a full education at Xavier Jesuit School from the annual interest accruing to this fund. The fund will be as long lasting as the school.
