On the 8th of May 2017, Mr. Chhoeuy Loy Vannarith, Manager of the Ideal Construction Company Ltd signed contracts with Fr. Ashley Evans S.J., Director of Xavier Jesuit School, to build a bathroom block and a large canteen for the students of the Primary School at the back of the campus. During the month of May the piling for the bathrooms was completed despite the arrival of the rainy season and the unusually rapid rise of the river. Piling is continuing for the canteen. Hopefully these two buildings will be ready for the start of the next academic year in the middle of October. By that time, we will have six classrooms full of students studying there. There will be three classes of primary students, grades 1 and 2 from Phnom Bak and grade 3 who will cross over from Dey Lo. There will also be three classes of secondary students, one class of grade 8 and two classes of grade 7 students. So will need the bathrooms on time!
