Two Life Skills Workshops were delivered at Xavier Jesuit School (XJS) by the Bomnin Program from Siem Reap under the guidance of Mr. Chheng Mab & Mr. Seng Rothanak.

The first workshop was delivered to grade 8A students at XJS from the 2nd to the 4th of August and the second workshop was delivered to grade 8B students from the 12th to 14th of August 2019.

The title, “Life-Skills”, and its objectives speak for itself: “a program to empower the youth towards psycho-social-spiritual integration”. The workshop ran for three full days and the following topics were covered during the whole workshop: knowing oneself; anger management; stress management; non-violent communication; managing sexual and other urges; managing impulsive behaviours; friendship and romance during adolescence; peer pressure; drug & substance abuse; parent-child relationship & choosing a life partner.

All the students loved it so much and, in their evaluation, requested to have it again for next year and for a weeklong instead of three days only.

Xavier Jesuit School expresses its sincerest thanks to Mr. Mab and Mr. Rothanak for assisting our grade 8 students in knowing themselves, their families and friends better through the Life-Skills workshop.
