During this COVID-19 pandemic situation, the education sector has been hampered with temporary school closures twice. This is the second time that the schools were ordered closed, making it impossible for students and teachers to study and teach at the school. At this time, the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports (MoEYS) has issued guidelines on distance learning or online teaching to allow the students to study at their homes.
During this challenging time, Xavier Jesuit School (XJS) has also started offering distance education to meet the educational needs of the students. Teachers at XJS have been doing our best to provide education among our students despite many difficulties. We are using many different platforms: Zoom, Telegram, Messenger, and printed worksheets — to ensure that our students will be able to learn based on the resources they have. Ultimately, we will continue to work hand in hand in order to find more effective ways in making learning more accessible for all our students.
