On 4th- 18th of September 2017, the Xavier Jesuit School Curriculum Workshop for grades 7 and 8 teachers started on a high note. This year twenty-three teachers plus three Presentation Sisters are participants of the workshop. The topic on the first day was on the First Principles and Foundation of Ignatian Spirituality and Pedagogy. Some of the topics of this workshop include: vocation of teaching, theories of teaching and learning, leadership in education, Jesuit characteristics of education, introduction to Ignatian Pedagogy Paradigm, teacher & student’s cantered education, lesson plan and curriculum design. In this workshop, the old grade 7 teachers will get to share their experiences of teaching at Xavier Jesuit School during the last academic school year with the new incoming teachers.
