On September 20, 2023, the Karuna Battambang Organization facilitated a visit to the Primary School of XJS by a group of 15 teachers from rural primary schools. This visit was made possible with the assistance of FyA Cambodia.
The purpose of the visit was to provide the visiting teachers with an opportunity to observe the library program implemented at the Primary School of XJS. The program encompassed various activities such as reading, teaching, and storytelling, all conducted within the school’s library. The visiting teachers were keen to learn about the process of preparing, decorating, and leading similar programs in their own schools. They hoped to gather inspiration and practical examples from the practices followed at the Primary School of XJS.
During the visit, the visiting teachers actively participated in a grade one library lesson, closely observing the teacher’s approach and techniques during the session.
The experience turned out to be highly beneficial for both the Primary School of XJS and the visiting teachers. It fostered a spirit of collaboration and allowed for the exchange of knowledge and ideas. The Primary School teachers of XJS were able to provide valuable insights to the visiting teachers, enabling them to implement similar activities in their own schools in the near future.
