BMC – Xavier Jesuit School celebrated Grade 6 and Grade 12 graduation with much enthusiasm last 14th November 2023.
Graduation is an exciting milestone for students as it’s their first step towards a future full of hopes and possibilities. 58 Grade 6 students will soon enter middle school and 39 Grade 12 students will soon turn into university students. Some highlights of celebrations were the students walking on the stage to receive their certificates and graduation gifts, and when they confidently delivered their speeches. Their smiling faces were welcomed by joyful applause from their parents and other guests as they received their tokens of recognitions.
Noy Chalinh and Pha Sreynang, representatives from Grade 12 students, delivered an inspirational speech and guided the audience through their times and memories in our school. Chalinh reminded the students of all the important lessons and values that they have received from school and to be appreciative of the presence of their parents, teachers, classmates, and friends. She closed the speech by wishing everyone’s success in the future.
Words of thanks for parents, teachers, school, and friends….
“Firstly, I would like to thank our parents. (…) Our achievements are deeply rooted in the unconditional love and support we have received from you. You have worked tirelessly to provide us with opportunities for a good education. (…) I would like to thank all our teachers at Xavier Jesuit School for their constant efforts and patience in helping us. They are not only concerned about our academic scores but also genuinely care for our health and well-being.” – Mach Sokhaveary, G6 graduate
“Moreover, I would like to say a few words to our classmates. We spend our days together, from 7 in the morning till 3 in the afternoon. We are like a family, experiencing joy, tears, and learning from one another. We share our good times and support each other through challenging moments. I am incredibly proud to be a part of this group, and I am grateful for your help and kindness. I hope that next year, we will continue to strive for good grades and remain friends forever.” – Loeung Baramey, G6 graduate
Great things will still continue to unfold at Xavier Jesuit School, and thanks to the partnerships and collaboration between students, staff, families, community, and our supporting organizations — we have seen incredible growth, accomplishments, and learning across the system during the past school year.
XJS wishes everyone a safe, happy, and healthy school break and looks forward to spending another fruitful school year by the end of November.
