On the 29th of January 2015, His Excellency, Mr. Oum Reatrey, Vice-Governor of Banteay Meanchey Province and Fr. Enrique Figaredo, Apostolic Prefect of Battambang Prefecture, presided over an inter-religious blessing ceremony on the school land. The ceremony began with speeches before the people moved to participate in a blessing rite by the local Buddhist monks, followed by a blessing rite according to the Catholic tradition. The ceremony ended with the planting of eight hard-wood trees at the centre of the school land. Many local villagers from Phnom Bak and Dey Lo came with their children.
