This week has been a busy one for XJS Secondary school students.

On Sunday last, grade 8 students attended a vocational careers information day held at Enfants Du Mekong school. The students listened to a series of talks about further education institutes around Cambodia that offer vocational courses to train the students in skills such as mechanics, hospitality and beauty therapy. This will be very important for our students as they begin to plan for their future!

The following Wednesday was a public holiday and our boys and girls football teams took to the field again! This time we were playing host to Enfants Du Mekong school teams.

Our students were excited to be playing in their new Xavier Jesuit School team jerseys!

Both teams had lots of cheering supporters on the sideline and the students enjoyed the music playing throughout the games!

Our girls team were super in their defense against a much bigger team. The game ended in a 0-0 draw, with our girls team learning from more and more match experience.

The boys team played next and the pace was even faster. There was plenty of runs towards the goal and the excitement peaked for XJS when our very own aspiring Neymar scored a cracking goal. The sideline erupted with cheers! The game continued with great skill and the Enfants Du Mekong side scored an equaliser to bring the game to a close with a 1-1 draw.

As always a big thank you to the staff and students for their help in hosting the games!
