On Sunday 18th of June, our Grade 7 students went on a history excursion to Angkor Wat accompanied by 8 teaching staff. For most of the students this was their first time to Angkor Wat. The students were in awe of the stonework, the carving, and the beautiful architecture of Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom. They appreciated and valued their historical and cultural heritage much more having been there and seeing the temples with their own eyes. One staff member commented after the excursion saying, “I was very proud of our students because they took the initiative to ask the Angkor-guides many questions about the temples. This means that they want to learn more about their national treasure.”
