After a long wait, the builders began to place the metal sheets on the roof of the multi-purpose hall on the 12th of March 2017 before the rainy season begins. Later the builders will cut small spaces on the roof for translucent sheets so that the hall will use natural lighting as much as possible. Afterwards a painted concrete floor will be installed and soft imitation wood tiles will be placed on the stage. The hall is designed to allow for two volley ball courts and two badminton courts at the same time as well being able to sit one thousand people for large assemblies or for plays, dance, shows or dramas. All the rain water will be collected by gutters and drains so that it can be kept in underground storage tanks once it has run through a cleaning and filtering system. There is wheel-chair access to the stage. This construction project is funded by St. Ignatius parish in Singapore and by donors of Jesuit Mission Austria.
