On the 2nd and 3rd of March 2017, from 14.30 to 15.30 hrs, Ms. Sev Sela and Ms. Son Kunthea, the two new coordinators of the Primary and Kindergarten classes at Dey Lo and Phnom Bak, led their first parents’ meeting. Many grand-parents attended as the parents are away working in Thailand. Ms. Sela and Ms. Kunthea explained about the school activities, thanked the parents’ for the regular family contributions for the food bill and encouraged more attention to punctuality and clean uniforms. Ms. Thiv Sinat, our family coordinator, showed her map of the houses in each village to enable parents’ groups to meet more regularly in their section of the village. Ms. Phon Sonai, our Project Manager, showed some short videos on how to reduce family stress and domestic violence in poor families. Afterwards, the parents could inspect their child’s written and art work while enjoying a snack.
