On the 12th and 13th of January in the afternoon from 2.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. two parents’ meetings took place, one at Dey Lo and one at Phnom Bak. Ms. Phon Sonai reported on the students’ progress and on the challenges facing the schools in the months ahead. She emphasized the continuing importance of the small financial family contributions to the school project. Ms. Tiv Sinat, the family coordinator, explained the purpose of her visits to the families so that the teachers and parents can work together better for the education of their children. At the end of the meeting, the parents were invited to share their appreciation and concerns. After the meeting, there was time for parents to view the art-work of their children and to speak personally with the class teacher.
