On the 30th of April and the 1st of May, the Xavier Cub Scout group held their first week-end camp. Our French volunteers, Francois and Marie, worked with our Khmer volunteers, Yeat, Rike and others to run this intensive program. Over thirty cub-scouts participated in the activities which included a treasure hunt around the grounds to find the missing Princess, the construction of simple bamboo tables and a water slide. The Scout Troop Mast was installed into the ground and the young leaders were formally invested by a public profession of their scout promise in Khmer. The young cub scouts learnt how to share the cooking and the cleaning. This cub scout troop is now well and truly launched!
