The Education Mission Leadership Team, which serves as the Board of Management for the new school project, met on the 23rd of March from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. The EMLT members were faced with tough decisions concerning the tenders for the construction of the primary school classrooms and the opening of both a primary and secondary school in November 2016. Fr. Ashley and Ms. Sonai reported on their meeting with Mr. Chhoeuy Chann, the Director of Education of the Province of Banteay Meanchey Province, on the 21st of March. He and his officials have given the green light for this development. While the EMLT has approved the plan to construct the multi-purpose hall this year, the architect has not yet produced the drawings so this building will be delayed. It is hoped to start construction of the primary school classrooms after Khmer New Year. The EMLT Members included Fr. Indon, Mr. Rany, Fr. Ros, Sr. Chanthana. Fr. Rudy, and Fr. Greg. Mr. Martin, Ms. Chanthy and Mr. Sok were absent. Some members of the School Leadership Team (SLT) Fr. Ashley, Fr. Quyen, Ms. Sonai and Br. Nguyen attended to give reports on various aspects of the project.
