On Saturday the 1st of August 2015, a group of 18 high school students from the Jeju diocese in South Korea with their teacher Mr. Kim Taehyeon and Sr. Monica joined 15 high school students from St. Francis Xavier Parish Church in Sisophon to plant 60 more trees on the school site under the expert supervision of our Technical Officer, Br. Nguyen. Two Korean seminarians from Jeju diocese, Br. Chihyeon and Br. Cheolwoo helped coordinate this activity together with a Vietnamese Jesuit scholastic, Br. Tuan. The trees planted included Mango, Cashew and Kdas Kat trees. Even though neither group is strong in English, much communication took place through songs, games and common activities. The Jeju group proved themselves to be generous and hard-working by enduring the hot Cambodian sun while digging deep holes to plant the trees. All the students well deserved the ice-cream at the end! Many new friendships have begun.
