On the 24th of July at 7.30 a.m. the children of Dey Lo Kindergarten, in the presence of their parents or guardians, gathered for the end of year ceremony. Ms. Ao Thavy, the Kindergarten school coordinator, welcomed all, including the special guests from Fr. Peter Lo’s, Christ the Worker Parish, in Hong Kong. Both the Junior and Senior Infants put on simple sketches and songs. Our Kindergarten teachers, Ms. Sev Sela, Ms. Yom Sona and Ms. Rim Rout (Mum) had prepared them well. Ms. Lucia Wong helped the whole group of children to sing some simple songs in English. Each child received a simple certificate of completion while some received prizes for good attendance. Afterwards, the children with the help of the Hong Kong guests prepared a snack for their parents and guardians. Later the Hong Kong group painted the walls around the Kindergartens school helping to create a more child-friendly environment! Ms. Phon Sonai, the Project Manager, met with the parents and guardians to discuss arrangements for the next academic year which will begin in October 2015
