From May 13th to 15th, 2019, Jesuit Xavier School held its 2nd Fusion Camp in conjunction with Jesuit Service Cambodia and Xavier Parish in Sisophon with 94 participants in total. The main purpose of the camp is to provide young people from the rural areas an opportunity to learn about the Xavier Jesuit School, its Mission, its characteristics so that the participants may have an interest in registering for the new school year.
This year’s theme is: “Come and See”. The participants were more comfortable this year than last year and learnt many issues related to their life and their home environment. They were encouraged to preserve the environment through greater awareness to their surrounding and more attention to nature, to take care of the world which they live in as well as the community they live. To preserve and take care of the environment they all went out to the local village where Xavier Jesuit School is collated and collected many bags full of garbage.
The participants also had time for meditation and contemplate on the important aspects of their daily life. They then watched a short film called “Wallet”. On the last day, the participants visited a local garden together.
At the conclusion of the Camp, they were entertained by the Xavier Jesuit School’s music group and school leadership team with songs and dances.
