As part of the Jesuit family, Xavier Jesuit School had the pleasure of welcoming 12 ‘big brothers’ from Saint Ignatius’ College (Riverview), Australia. The Riverview students joined our Grade 8 students for a two-hour English learning session and a visit to the FeyA. They were moved by the children’s smiles and passion for learning. In the afternoon of July 1, 2025, our basketball teams enjoyed a friendly match with their ‘giant’ brothers. That was the most exciting match ever in XJS. Audience was holding their breaths each time the ball swirling around the net. With the home field advantage, XJS beat the Riverview Team with a score of 60:17.
On the second day, our primary school principal and teachers organized a wide range of activities with sports, art, Khmer and English language learning. The Riverview students also taught our students with action songs and games. All students had a great learning time.
This visit offers our students great opportunities for cultural exchange, mutual learning and understanding, and the development of friendships. Our students can broaden their perspectives and gain confidence through meaningful interactions.
