On the 16th of January 2017, a group of students from Sogang University students visited the Xavier Jesuit School campus.   They met with the grade 7 secondary students and engaged in a dynamic and interesting Khmer-Korean dialogue.  On the 17th of January 2017, Fr. Kyung-yong Lee S.J. brought four telescopes donated by volunteers from the Korean Astronomy Society to the Xavier Jesuit School Project in Sisophon.  The Korean Astronomy Society volunteers have already run one training program last July in Pursat and plan to run another one in Sisophon this April.   The students and teachers at the Xavier Jesuit Secondary school had their first ever experience of using a telescope which caused much excitement.  Unfortunately a huge rain storm prevented the star-gazing program planned for that night.  On the 19th of January 2017, four Korean Jesuit scholastics visited the kindergarten, primary, secondary and community programs.   They listened attentively to Fr. Ashley’s presentation and asked questions about the biggest obstacles to progress.  Fr. Quyen preferred to speak of challenges, the biggest one being the lack of full-time secondary teachers.  For the moment, we have to rely on part-time secondary teachers.
